This dad asked on facebook, "how do babies without teeth eat a puffy? wouldn't she choke?" My comment (as well as many others), "They disolve really fast in their mouth, and it's good for them to practice chewing. She'll figure it out pretty quickly."
And then the worst part is, is that I had no idea his baby was 10 months old. For all I knew she was 4, 5, or 6 months. Well, for whatever reason, I commented again to say, "My babies were eating chickfila at 10 months. lol... she's got this."
WHAT?! What is wrong with me? I really didn't mean it the way that it sounded, and I immediately read what I just posted and deleted it. Although, I know he already got the notification and still read what I posted. I felt terrible. I then scrolled down to see a picture of his baby girl with the caption "10 months old!" ... ugh.
What does it matter when my kids ate what. Every baby is different. Every parent is different, and you have to do what's best for you and your baby... and what makes you comfortable.
I couldn't believe what I had just done. I had become that mom that everyone hates.
I have learned my lesson and will probably stop commenting on things like this. Typing what is in my head doesn't come out the way that I mean it to sometimes. Do you have a story like this, share it by leaving a comment!
